Tender coconuts break into corporate offices .

Tender coconuts break into corporate offices
It's 'ready to serve' and like a soft drink bottle or tetra pack, you can take it inside any office, drink and then dispose. Sold with the brand name Tender Fresh, 1500 – 2000 tender coconuts every day are reaching a clientele that reads like the who's who of Bangalore's software companies. Shree Padre reports.

Renaissance of Indian textbooks ???

http://www.indiatogether.org/2006/oct/edu-textbook.htm.

Textbooks for change
A number of new NCERT textbooks for class I to class XII have been designed to encourage children to question social prejudices, discrimination and inequalities. This is a conscious reversal of the earlier trend where textbooks reinforced prevailing stereotypes, notes Deepti Priya Mehrotra.

5 October 2006 - New Delhi, (WFS) - Most textbooks implicitly accept the status quo and teach as if the way things are is the way things should be - whether in terms of stereotypical gender roles, communal attitudes or a pro-urban bias. A few textbooks are being designed, however, that consciously seek to reverse the trend. They teach children to ask questions, challenge prejudices, and inculcate values of equality and social justice. While NGOs have produced some of these textbooks, others are being brought out by governmental agencies such as the NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training), New Delhi.

Noise Free Diwali
Relacionado a un país: India

I am so glad to have a 'comparitively' noise-free diwali....the entire Mumbai must be happy this time....no ringing in the ear ! no ear-drum blasting explosions, no swabs of cotton in the ear, ....just plain fun with some bright lights and fireworks display in the night sky!!!!
thank you God for enlightening people about the harmful effects of loud crackers !

it was a wonderful experience going out with friends , family and neighbours to the marine drive to watch the spectacular fireworks display.

none of my friends bought crackers this time...instead of that we decided to donate the money for a good cause ... it made our diwali extra special !

This five day vacation has been so good for all of us ...we finally got to catch up on some good ol'fun together !

yesterday it was movie time again. we went to watch 'Khosla Ka Ghosla"
check the movie info here ....the site is really really cool !!!!!!!

I hope everybody had an equally warm Diwali !

enjoy !!!
